It's official!!

After 5 years of speech therapy, learning ASL and obtaining a DynaVox (talking laptop computer) we have broken the verbal speaking barrier!!! That is right, Spencer is now talking!! The words are broken and as you can see from the video, the pronunciation is exaggerated but he is talking none the less. We are all SOO EXCITED!! He is getting really good with the C-V-C words like cup, dog and hat. Here is a short clip for all of you to hear.

Rockin' Out!!

So one of the first purchases Chase made after he started working at Wendy's was the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band. Chase and Justin have had a lot of fun with the game and their energy is contagious.

Yes...your eyes are not deceiving you...that is me playing the drums while J-man rocks out on the guitar. I play the "easy" level while he plays "hard" or "expert" but it is all good. The kids just can't believe I am playing a video game. :0)

Spencer and Kelsey of course wanted in on the action. Kelsey likes to dance while others play. It has definately become a family affair.
