Chase is ready for his Skills USA competition. This is the mandatory professional dress that he had to wear to participate. He and 3 of his friends entered the Entrepreneurship category. They spent many hours preparing and getting ready for the State level competition. This was the first time they had entered this particular category and they were not sure how well they'd do. At the very least they would take what they learned and try again next year.





SILVER MEDAL!! Chase's team did better than they expected!! They took home the silver!!! They were really excited. A sophmore team to win anything higher than a bronze is unusual and there wasn't a team that even did well enough to win gold. So now Chase and his team get to participate in the Skills USA competition at the national level. Here we come KANSAS CITY!!!

Cold, cold morning

This is what we woke up to this morning. Yes, snow in April. A rarity for these parts, I was so surprised I had to share it with all of you.

This is a picture of my tulips in the front flowerbed. It has been warm enough that they started poking up...now I am sure they are regretting that decision. LOL

Bike Riding

Kelsey has learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. She started trying to ride a two wheeled bike last summer, but got to scared about it so she quit. With some reassurance and gentle persuasion she decided to try again and picked it up in no time. Here she is riding in our culd-e-sac.

Customized Basketball Backboard

While in Rexburg in January, Boise had severe windstorms and when we returned home our basketball hoop had blown over, shattering the backboard. Chase and Justin, with a little assistance from Todd, got creative and decided to make their own, customized backboard instead of waiting for mom and dad to come up with the 100 bucks to order the replacement. This project turned out to be a lot more fun and now we have the coolest backboard on the street!! (At least that is what the neighborhood kids think!)
